About Me

Hi, I’m Kerry McGrath, a BACP registered, fully insured, Integrative Therapist, offering outdoor counselling to adults and young people 16+.  I’m also a qualified and experienced children’s and young persons counsellor, based in schools.

As an experienced ‘indoor’ therapist, and after completing a year long certificate in ecotherapy, I have come to realise the power of being in nature,  and that belief has led me to, where possible, offer sessions in green spaces.

I have experience of working with: –

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Bereavement and Loss
  • Trauma
  • Self-esteem
  • Relationship issues
  • Work-based stress
  • School-based issues (please see Working in Schools for more information)

Working in and with nature can support healing in an effective and uplifting way.  I’ve always felt the connection to nature since childhood, and enjoy the relaxed, yet powerful energy it brings to my work with clients.

I’ve sought out a variety of work-based experiences that I bring to my current practice – community based work with the Shaw Trust, Fegans Childrens Charity, Place2Be, as well as working in schools, and private practice.

I hold a PGDip in therapeutic counselling (University of East London) as well as a plethora of certificates and trainings to enhance and progress my skillset, including certification in Ecotherapy for Adolescents.

I thoroughly value the journeys that I encounter within the work I do, always learning, always developing, and appreciating the privilege that it is to be invited into personal spaces.

My aim is to help adults and young people who are struggling in some way with their lives and work with them to reach a place of understanding; to help them find their way through what’s troubling them.

If you are interested in taking it further, give me a ring or email with a good time to get back to you. I’m more than happy to discuss further.
